I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
